CUE – Call Redirection to Voicemail

Posted: April 29, 2006 by cciestudy in Cisco Unity Express

CUE uses the last redirected number to send the call to the correct voicemail box.

X 2000 CFA to X 2001 and X 2001 CFNA to Voicemail

When you call X 2000 and it rolls over to voicemail, you will hear the greeting for X 3001. This is the opposite of what happens with Unity.

Note the Diversion header in "Debug ccsip messages" command:

Ok, but see this log. It appears that voicemail message is left by CALLED party. I made this test call. Call is coming from ext.106 to ext.103, then CFNA to ext.103 mailbox. When playing the voicemail on ext.103, prompt says that message is sent by ext.103. WHY IS THAT, ANYONE KNOWS??

I know it is available with the recent release of CUE/Unity but how do you configure CUE/Unity to prompt the user directly for password instead of starting with the usual general greetings?

  3. What a really incredible piece…

  4. medic says:

    Terrific writing.
