Posted: July 26, 2006 by cciestudy in Callmanager Express

Scenario 1

Two phones need to have a shared line. When a call is answered on the first phone and a second call comes in to the shared line, you need to have the call ring at second phone with no call waiting on the first.

ephone-dn 1
number 3001
huntstop channel
no huntstop

ephone-dn 2
number 3001
huntstop channel
preference 1
ephone 1
button 1o1,2

ephone 2
button 1o1,2

Scenario 2

Two phones need to have a shared line. When a call is answered on the first phone and a second call comes in to the shared line, you need to have the call ring at second phone with call waiting on the first.

ephone-dn 1
number 3001
huntstop channel
no huntstop

ephone-dn 2
number 3001
huntstop channel
preference 1
ephone 1
button 1c1,2

ephone 2
button 1c1,2

Is’t possible to make prioritization for phones? As for an instance: When 1st inbound call to shared line comes to CME, it will forward call to the ephone with priority 1, and waiting its rejection or answering for a while.
If call would be rejected, so ccme forwards it to another phone with priority 2. If call would be answered, and another call comes into ccme, it forwards this call to the phone with second priority..

    ephone-dn 2 channel
    number 3001
    huntstop channel
    preference 1 *********
    ephone 1
    button 1c1,2

what is the purpose of preference 1 when line is shared. since both phone will ring.

    Hi,

What about outgoing calls, if that scenario is done for example for an additional phone:

    ephone 3
    button 1c1,2

would he be able to know if both ephone 1 & ephone 2 are currently using all occupied (line 1 & line 2) ??

    Im facing this problem now.

    issue: Key System

10 phones, sharing 2 FXO Trunk lines,
    All phones are two buttons.

    ephone 1
    button 1o100,33 2:200

    ephone 2
    button 1o100,34 2:200

    (extensions are on ephone-dn 33 & ephone-dn 34, while FXO lines are 100 & 200)

when line 2 is picked from either phone, you see the red indicator showing on the other phone, but when line 1 is picked from either phones, you cannot see it as busy on the other phone.

    Help please.
